This topography course is designed for second-year students in the fourth semester (S4) specializing in Civil Engineering, Public Works, and Hydraulics.
Prerequisite Skills: To enroll in the "Topography 1" course, students should have prior knowledge in Mathematics. It is essential for students in this field to have prerequisites related to the following concepts: Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Physics, and Technical drawing.
Course Objectives: The student will understand the basics of topography, enabling them to carry out and control the layout of a construction, leveling, measurement of angles and distances, determination of coordinates of topographic points, and the drafting of topographic plans.
Course Structure:
- Chapter 1: Generalities, Definitions, and Concepts
- Chapter 2: Measurement of Distances
- Chapter 3: Direct and Indirect Leveling
- Chapter 4: Measurement of Angles
Each chapter includes fundamental definitions relevant to the content, necessary formulas for calculation and control according to the required tolerances, and concludes with numerical applications in the form of exercises and real cases treated in practical work.
- Teacher: Dr. ABDELHALIM GUERROUDJ
