Cognitive psychology is a course designed for third year Licence students to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and the theories that underlie the field. Through exploring the origins of cognitive psychology and its development over time, students will gain insights into the ways in which cognitive processes influence behaviour, perception and learning. In addition to examining key theories of cognitive psychology, this course will also demonstrate how these concepts can be applied to the field of English as a foreign language teaching and how cognitive psychology can enhance language learning and instructional strategies in EFL classrooms.
